Week Program
Workouts Per Week
Years of Physiotherapy Expertise
Our Approach
Our program is built on four evidence-based principles that physiotherapists use to help older adults stay strong, safe, and independent.
Progressive resistance exercises to rebuild and maintain muscle mass — the foundation of independence.
Targeted balance training to reduce fall risk and build confidence in everyday movements.
A structured, achievable schedule that builds lasting habits — 2 sessions per week, at your own pace.
Every exercise is physiotherapy-designed and spine-safe, with special attention to osteoporosis guidelines.
What You'll Get
The STANDING STRONG Fitness Program is an 8-week evidence-based video exercise program specifically designed for older adults, including those with Osteoporosis.

A progressive plan that builds week over week — starting where you are and advancing at a safe, effective pace.
Every session combines muscle-strengthening and balance exercises, the two most important factors for fall prevention.
All exercises are designed to be done with just your body weight — no gym, no weights, no special equipment required.
Designed and led by a registered physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience working with older adults.
Every exercise is carefully selected to protect your spine and joints, with modifications for those with osteoporosis.

BSc PT, Registered Physiotherapist
Jillian is a registered physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience working with older adults across Canada. She has dedicated her career to helping seniors stay strong, mobile, and independent — and she brings that same passion to every Stronger At Home session.
Her approach is warm, encouraging, and evidence-based. She understands the unique challenges that come with aging — including osteoporosis, joint pain, and fear of falling — and has designed this program to address all of them safely and effectively.
"I believe that progress is always possible, no matter where you're starting from. My goal is to help you feel stronger, more confident, and more capable in your everyday life."
Why It Matters
By age 40 we naturally start to lose bone, AND every decade after 30 we naturally lose 3–5% of our muscle mass.
Fractures from Osteoporosis are more common than heart attacks, strokes & breast cancer combined.
Older adults need impact & resistance training at least twice a week for bone health & muscle strength.
If you're over 50, balance & functional training with resistance training at least twice per week can significantly decrease your risk of falls.
Consistency with exercise and movement leads to the greatest gains in physical health and fitness.
Learning to exercise while protecting your spine is essential if you've been diagnosed with Osteoporosis.

This program is designed for older adults who are ready to take an active role in their health. You may be a great fit if:
I'm interested in becoming stronger & more fit
I live independently in the community
I don't rely on a walker or cane
I've been advised & cleared to exercise regularly
I'm looking for a safe, guided, evidence-based program
I may have been recently diagnosed with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis

What People Are Saying
After going through the Standing Strong program, I feel stronger and more confident in my ability to do exercises. I haven't exercised in quite a while so going forward, I will be following the exercises that I learned in the program.
I enjoyed it and felt stronger after a few weeks of exercise. It was one of the best exercise programs I have taken. The program has made me realize that I can do things to make my body stronger, even though I am getting up in age. I would definitely recommend it to others.
I feel much better in general. Balance has improved greatly and the squats have done wonders for my knees. This program has given me more confidence in my daily ability. I would recommend this program for all seniors.
Overall I'm pleased that I did the course and I feel that my endurance and balance has improved. Would be interested in doing another program.
I thoroughly enjoyed the program. I am stronger. My balance has improved. I am more conscious of moving safely in my day-to-day activities. I have tended to focus on cardio only in the past. This has made me realize how important it is to practice balance and strengthening.
